Ashland Community Kitchen
The mission of Ashland Community Kitchen is to provide any hungry person with a hot, nutritious meal, and to treat each person with dignity and respect. The kitchen, part of The Neighborhood facilities in downtown Ashland, serves approximately 150 meals each day — and that number continues to grow.
Meals on Wheels is a collaborative effort between Ashland Community Kitchen and King’s Daughters Medical Center. The kitchen prepares meals for up to 50 people daily for home delivery that includes breakfast, lunch and supper. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday by volunteers coordinated by KDMC.
To qualify for the program, recipients must live in the Ashland city limits, and have no other means of receiving meals or preparing their own meals. CAReS (Community Assistance and Referral Services) screens applicants for the program. You can visit CAReS website here.
